Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund (MNWMF) Annual AMC Scholarships

The scholarships are provided to commemorate the service and sacrifice of the Australian Merchant Navy during WWI & WWII and as a reminder to younger generations of the very significant role played by the Australian Merchant Navy, on behalf of our nation.

They also highlight the invaluable day to day contribution that seafarers make to international trade and the Australian / World economy. In this regard the Scholarships serve to acknowledge the many hardships faced by seafarers today.

The MNWMF provides six (6) scholarships annually. The funding of the Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Scholarship commenced in 2008 and by the end of 2021, 51 scholarships will have been awarded, providing $127,500, to AMC students.
